I recently had a photoshoot with Gayle from Twisted Willow Studios, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. From the very start, the experience was exceptional. I initially went to meet with her to discuss the shoot, and we ended up talking for so long because the conversation flowed so naturally. From the moment I arrived, I immediately felt comfortable and welcomed.
During our meeting, Gayle walked me through everything in detail — the different albums available, how the process works, and she showed me examples of her previous work. I was immediately impressed by the quality of her photography. Her work is beautiful, and it’s clear she is incredibly talented and knows exactly what she’s doing.
What really stood out was how organized and thoughtful she is. She arranged everything for the shoot day — my makeup, my hair, and the entire schedule. All I had to do was show up. She had snacks on hand, checked frequently if I needed water or anything else, and made sure I felt comfortable and cared for throughout the entire day. She truly goes above and beyond to make it feel like your day.
During the shoot, Gayle created a positive and supportive environment. She has a special way of making you feel confident, comfortable, and even a little bit sexy in front of the camera. I’ve honestly never felt so at ease during a photoshoot. For anyone who might be shy or unsure about being photographed, Gayle is the perfect guide — warm, encouraging, and genuinely caring.
After the shoot, we went through the photos together, and she encouraged me to share honestly which images I didn’t love or if there was anything I wanted adjusted. She genuinely wanted everything to be perfect for me and made sure I was thrilled with the final results.
When I finally received my photos, I was blown away. The images are stunning and beautifully captured. I’ve never felt so confident and beautiful looking at photos of myself, and that’s entirely thanks to Gayle’s incredible talent.
Her studio is also wonderful — private, clean, and very professional — creating a safe and comfortable space that enhances the entire experience.
Overall, the experience was not only professional but also incredibly fun. Gayle is talented, kind, and passionate about her work, and it truly shows in every aspect of her photography and client care.
I would recommend Gayle and Twisted Willow Studios to anyone without hesitation.

Consultation, Gayle was very thorough going over all of the details for the upcoming photography session. Photo session, During the photoshoot, we felt very relaxed and comfortable. Gayle guided us with ease of how to pose and smile. Reveal session, this was the most exciting part. We enjoyed looking at our photos on the slide show and Gayle really took her time to help us choose. It was such a precious experience for a mother and daughter to have.
Mya and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Although we felt nervous at the beginning, once we had had the consultation we felt totally at ease with Gayle. "My experience with my family photo shoot by Gayle was amazing! She had lots of different props to be able to use to make different settings, she was very organised and gave use suggested what we could do and let us decide what we wanted.
She was very patient with us and having four young children this wasn't always easy. Gayle made it work and managed to get some beautiful photos, all I wanted was some updated family pics and I got that and much more, with Gayle's time, effort and patients she had given me so many photos that amazed me, she managed to get the kids to look and smile!
There was a photo where I wanted all four kids together however none worked out, with Gayle's skills and talent she digitally edited them and I now have a photo with all four kids and it doesn't look like it was edited at all! The kids were happy to receive chocolate and I'm looking forward to another photo shoot with Gayle in the future."

Had such a great day so much more relaxing than I thought it would be. Gayle definitely made me feel comfortable in my skin and nothing was a problem , we laughed and chatted the whole time . 10 out of 10 if you're thinking about doing it just do it ! I love my photos and can't believe it's me in some of them ! I did mine for a gift for my husband on our wedding morning and he loved it , the grin we wore when we I came down the isle was such a cool feeling knowing we had a wee secret that morning and all thanks to Gayle and the magic she worked.
